Long Island is an aircraft carrier of Eagle Union. Her first appearance is on episode 2. Her CVs are Sachiyo Yoshida (Japanese) and Jennifer Alyx (English). Long Island was the U.S. Navy's first Escort Carrier being converted from the cargo ship SS Mormacmail. She is shown as having jacket sleeves that are too long for her arms. This is probably because when completed, her flight deck was only 362 feet long and this was found to be too short. Her flight deck was later lengthened by 77 feet to remediate the deficiency.
